there’s a group of ‘patrons’ in charge of penelope; essentially a lot of rich busybodies who were originally part of the government and were relocated there to form a kind of ‘council’. they meet once a week to set in motion the alliance’s wishes and, well, run the place like a monarch would.

the government doesn’t trust a royal family on penelope, so they employ their own to run the planet. it’s so small (about the size of great britain) and there’s only really one ‘city’, so there’s not a lot to govern.

hi! prospective member here. i really am in love with ktsal and i love the amount of depth and all the POSSIBILITIES, but one thing i am having a huge problem with (and i promise if i didn't find it a real concern i wouldn't nag you) is the font size/line height/general readability of a lot of the information. i've been pasting into word but i really cannot read any of the site info without losing my place etc. would you consider changing it for me and others as well? thank you!

YES, YES YES (: we’ve had a few other people say about this in the cbox (was that yoooooooooou?) and i’m going around changing all the line-heights of all the big blocks of text! none of the admins found this a problem, nor any of the people i showed so i didn’t know that it was an issue! but i’m really glad that you mentioned it, because i would’ve gone ahead and opened the site to everyone and no one would’ve been able to read anything!

i’m changing the line-heights from 80% to 100%, so be sure to come back and tell me if it’s any better or not. if not, let me know and i’ll edit it some more (:

gray here, bonjour lovelies. i have, yet another request for you and for a character that none of you will have heard of. fantine ~~never known as fanfan or fanny, srsly she’ll beat the shit out of her 6’7” husband for it, the likelihood is she can take you as well.~~ is a mutant, she hasn’t always been, in all actuality she had a promising career ahead of her in the navy. she’s been at the facility for a few years now, she was abducted two weeks after giving birth to her son, she’s not even met him properly. she’s a medium and can resurrect - it’ll hurt like hell if you shoot her but she’ll come back and pull your dick off like a paper towel. she’s horribly possessive and over protective and takes out all her pent up brooding for her baby on this lot. so, who in the galaxy is easier to kidnap than a bunch of teenagers if they think there’s a bottle of vodka and a couple hundred credits in them for filling out a ‘survey’?

we’ll start from the top.

you see that pretty little blond thing? with the frizzy hair? mhm, her. she hasn’t got a name not a proper one, she tends to go by blondie but fantine has dubbed her iris, she doesn’t really speak much at all. she’s more attached to loki, which he knows and happily takes advantage of. she’s the youngest of the group having recently turned seventeen. in all honesty she’s the one that fantine feels the most sorry about. she only went along because loki did. fantine doesn’t doubt loki’s feelings for iris, never has she seen kids quite so in love, but she’s worried he’ll lead her astray. iris quite literally is the messenger for them, her telepathy helps immensely. play by is jen murray, age should be seventeen.

next we have thor, we know he doesn’t look like he lives up to his name but give him some credit, he’s better than he looks….sort of…sometimes….if there’s people to back him up. he’s brave, to the point it’s stupid and many, many a time fantine has taken a beating for him. but he means well, which is more than the majority of people in the facility. he rallies the group when fantine or connor are absent, and whilst the majority of them think he’s a bit of a twat they generally do what he suggests. persephone can’t stand him and makes that blatantly clear. flora is, on the other hand, utterly smitten with him. his ability to manipulate the weather has yet to come in handy but the ability to manipulate electricity is coming in very handy. play by is iain de caestecker. play by should be between seventeen and nineteen.

ah loki, what went wrong in your childhood. to be honest loki sort of sticks out of the group like a sore thumb, not that he particularly cares. they’re a means to an end. that being escape for him and his lovely iris, the rest…well he’ll handle those when the time comes for it. needless to say fantine doesn’t trust him as far as she could throw him but what can she do about it? she has someone watching him permanently…well a spirit. she’s doing her best to ensure he doesn’t put the others at risk but she’s desperate to break free herself. his pheromone manipulation certainly helps when he needs people to do his bidding. play by is joe dempsie. he should be twenty. ~~yes he is a mutated version of john and i love him.~~

and then we have persephone, idiotic, ridiculous, bitchy little persephone, who is as much of a teenager as fantine herself is. the woman turned twenty last month but quite frankly still acts like a hormonal little sixteen year old. persephone has the strongest bond to the group, she’s fantine’s younger sister. needless to say she’s heard more than one lecture on how could she be so fucking stupid to get herself abducted. needless to say she tends to roll her eyes and tune out her older sister. and if one of her wasn’t bad enough she can duplicate herself. joy. play by is lily loveless. age is twenty.

flora is….well she’s shy, which quite frankly isn’t helping anyone. she’s isn’t quiet she just can’t seem to talk to the other sex without turning the oddest shade of scarlet. she’s a good girl though, overall. she follows persephone around like it’s going out of fashion, however she’s beginning to see persephone for she actually is. a pain in the fucking arse. flora’s been in love with thor since before they ended up here and in all honesty she looks to him for strength. she’s yet to find a use for her plant manipulation and in all honesty is beginning to think she’s a little useless, thor tells her otherwise. play by is sophie wu. age should be seventeen to nineteen.

and lastly we have vulcan, he’s the joker of the group. he knows how important it is to keep up spirits, he knows how important morale is. he’s been best friends with thor since both of them could remember, it was only expected that they would come in. in all honesty he’s terrified of what’s going to happen, all he wants is to go home, back to his dad, back to their shitty home, back to normal. he hates his powers of fire and heat manipulation it was fucking sod’s law he’d get a power he’s afraid of. he’s not afraid to tell it how it is but he’ll make you laugh whilst telling you you’re all fucked. in all honesty fantine has a soft spot for him. he should be between seventeen to nineteen, the same age as thor. his play by is daniel kaluuya. ~~yes he is set on mac, yes the name is a reference to the geeky side.~~

basically the latter, yeah! i mean, it’s not fair on people if they are more comfortable playing as… males, for example, like me (wash). so, as long as the ratios aren’t too skewiff, then we’re just letting people play whatever genders/member groups they feel comfortable with! and if there’s, say, loads of male mutants to females, we’ll ban that group for a while, and with the gender just say HEY GUYS, YOU MIND MAKIN’ SOME WIMMINZ 4 US?

we’re finished.

we’ve finished the board, we’ve finished all the descriptions and the information and everything; we’ve just got to finish our apps.

so, seeing as we’ve finished ahead of schedule, we’re going to be opening ahead of schedule. which means instead of opening next week, we’re going to be opening this saturday instead!

well, this saturday for you guys at least, we’ll be opening up to the general public next tuesday, so you get a whole four days on before we let the masses in. we hope you’re as excited as we are, and keep your eyes peeled for the grand opening!

well hello there my pretty, pretty little munchkins. so as you have been told were are aiming to open sometime next week, hoorah ~~if i ever finish writing my army.~~ so we thought it would nice for you to get a chance to tell us what face claims you wanted. now the list below are either taken admin faces, which means they will be bolded, requested faces, which means they will be in italics or they will be canon faces, which will be indicated along side it. okay so as you can see we have a number of canons we’d love for you take, if you have any queries about them you should know where the ask box is by now. we are currently allowing you two reserves per player, we think it’s enough. we haven’t settled a figure on how long you get to reserve them but i’m going to put a ball park figure of a week after we let you onto the site, you can re-reserve because we love you. if your face is taken, then tough unless you can talk to the person who has reserved it and decide to make twins or something then you’ll have to find someone else. be reasonable with your face claims, people. miley cyrus wouldn’t last two minutes in archangel and joe jonas doesn’t look twenty nine. i, gray, personally do have a bit of a thing about stretching face’s too look too old, too young. there are hundreds of people you can pick from, although we prefer actors and models, with the occasional musician thrown in if they’re pretty, but please, for the love of my sanity, do not give me reserves for scene kids. seriously. we are operating on a first come, first served basis. all you have to do to reserve is shoot us a message with your name and your faces, remember it’s a maximum of two and if we don’t get your name we won’t be able to reserve them for you <3

urgh so yet another requests from the angsty mind of gray. although this isn’t major angst, it just creates it, it should over all be fairly amusing to be honest with you. it’s for mortimer, no i cannot be fucked to describe mortimer again. he is basically eames, srsly, bad clothes and a little arthur and everything. he will soon be acting head of archangel, when…shit goes down. so this is where your little man comes in.

okay so this suave motherfucker is mort’s ex. we’ll call him gabriel for the time being, once again the name doesn’t have to stick it’s just what i’ve been referring to him as in my head. gabriel works for the government, which kind of automatically makes him a bit of a sell out in mort’s head because, despite the fact it is very much the govt signing mort’s paypackets. none the less, gabriel and mort go way back, waaay back man. let’s say gabriel was someone who was in on the original archangel project, they’d have worked together for some time. mort was, obviously a dr/geneticist and well gabriel would have been put in place to observe and write an independent report. they grew close and they started fucking, we’re not going to call it a relationship because pre-jasper the ‘r’ word was a taboo for mortimer, no it was more like it didn’t exist. in all honesty though what they had probably would be deemed a relationship, not a particularly functional one but one none the less. this went on for pretty much up until mort met jas, so a good few years. they didn’t live together, there was no talking about feelings, it was a simple if he’s on the planet we’ll fuck kind of thing. mortimer, if he was feeling bored enough and had enough free time, would go and see him wherever the fuck he was in the galaxy. it wasn’t a relationship - only it kind of was. they saw other people during those few years but in the end they’d fallen into a couple-times-a-month kind of a routine and that suited them fine.

now mortimer and jas have been married for five years, needless to say gabriel didn’t get an invite and well that’s always kind of pestered him. this will be mainly set after the current head…has some issues and mortimer becomes acting head. gabriel you see has climbed the ranks in the govt. he was the left hand to the minister of defense and well now he’s disappeared he’s angling for a nice cushy seat in the cabinet so when the problem with archangel arrived he confronted his superiors and said that he would personally ensure the problem was seen to and so there he is. he just turns up in mortimer’s board room one day, thankfully before the others, including jasper, turn up for the regular morning meeting. now jasper and mortimer have recently been having…talks, jasper knows of mortimer’s sordid past and despite being married five years and in a relationship over that he’s beginning to doubt his husband’s ability to stay on the straight and narrow - which is utter bullshit because mort loves him ridiculous amounts. so anyways mortimer decides to keep it to himself that gabriel is an ex of sorts where as gabriel ensures to tell half the team just to make sure it gets back to jasper.

shit will ensue and yeah. gabriel will attempt to break up a fairly happy marriage. mortimer will probably end up losing his temper, hitting him and threatening to blow his dick of ~~nice choice of wording there, gray~~ and jasper will probably be accusing mort of all kind of shit. it’ll be funny but angsty. nothing romantic will happen between gabriel and mort, gabe might forceably kiss him or something but he will be punched for it. mortimer has no plans on getting divorced. at all.

playby is a bit of an odd situation, i usually give you a definite playby but i couldn’t settle. three i’ve come up with are; matt boomer, cillian murphy (shoot me) and mgg. i don’t mind if you have other suggestions but bare in mind mort has a type - which is pretty much summed up in jasper. looks good in a suit and a suave mother fucker. mort should always be the slightly rougher spoken/looking of a couple - despite his penchant for adding ‘darling’ to everything. age should be around the thirties, possibly around jasper’s age (which i can’t remember right now.) usergroup will be govt.

Think my first ask didn't go through. Ahem. Hi! It's Mel again (one of the folks from the old site). Question: Is it possible that a person can become a mutant by birth? IE - One of her parents is a mutant that escaped Archangel long ago and hid his/her true identity to live as a civilian. My original character had a physical power I want her to retain when I revise her app for this game, but her family history is mega important. Thanks!

No, unfortunately not, that is what archangel is for. Archangel are the scientists, medics, technical analysts behind the whole shebang. Archangel, along with the govt, are the reason why there are mutants. Now as far as I remember, I’ll have to check with Wash, but the programme hasn’t been going long enough for any infected offspring and in all honesty I’m not entirely sure we’re having infected offspring. So she could still have the family history but she could have been taken and experimented on.

okay so as promised i have a request for you, i am however not feeling up to making a graphic right now (generally because i’m being lazy, i’ll put one in later.) this request is for two people, although they’re a married couple, and no i have no imagination hence the face claims. they’re both for mortimer, if you read, my now filled, request for mortimer’s husband you might know a little about him but i’ll give you some more information. mortimer’s father died when he was young and for a lot of time, the majority of his adolescence years he spent trying to live up to his father’s name. however when his mother fell ill he put everything on hold to care for her but it would be his mother who would instill into him his sense of inadequacy, which whilst it might be hidden behind layers of somewhat real confidence and paisley, it is still there even to today. his mother told him he would never live to be as good as his father and well yeah…he want on to study medicine before specializing in infectious diseases and controlling them before specializing in genetics.

now this request is primarily for constance, i don’t know why i decided on the name i just keep referring to her as it. constance is mortimer’s little sister, she’s in her early twenties so probably doesn’t need her big brother anymore but that’s not going to stop him. mortimer became her primary care source when their mother died and he balanced school with taking care of her, he did his best and as a result is really rather over protective of her. she has however matured into a very intelligent woman, who refused to join archangel on ethical grounds and plays quite a regular role in mortimer’s life. however a couple of years ago she married her husband, her husband who is quite literally double her age. mortimer was suspicious at first and they argued and bickered about it and in the end it got bad enough that constance withdrew mort’s invite to the wedding. that was a good couple of years ago and they haven’t really spoken since, she speaks to jasper and keeps up to date with her brother’s escapades but she refuses to talk to him properly until he apologises, which quite frankly with mortimer isn’t going to happen anytime soon. playby is ellen page, no that can’t be shifted. age should be around twenty two. i don’t care about what member group she is, but she cannot be a mutant.

and then there’s the husband, who i will imaginatively refer to as leo (can you guess who his play by is, can you?) leo isn’t a bad guy, he’s got a shady past but haven’t we all? he was in the navy until they kicked him out, he’s a mercenary now, working for griminar industries (nero’s company), he’s good at his job and it offers him the cover of allowing people, including constance, to think he has a simple, run of the mill, office job. he’s aware of mortimer’s suspicions and quite frankly they annoy him, he’s nothing against the man - he doesn’t support his marriage to jasper, but that is something entirely different. he doesn’t honestly care that constance and mortimer aren’t talking, if anything he enjoys adding fuel to the fire and reminding constance about mortimer’s bad qualities sometimes. play-by is leo dicaprio, no i won’t shift on that. age should be around forty four-ish, it can be shifted but he needs to be significantly older than his wife, it’s partially what makes mortimer suspicious. he is a mercenary.

so, we thought we’d give you guys an update. due to goddamn university commitments, i (aka. wash) have been uber-super-duper busy over the last week, so haven’t had much time to do a lot. but, don’t fret, the location board descriptions are almost finished, just three more to go. after that, whilst doing our own character’s applications we just have to put up the welcome/info/additional info/credit threads and then we are done.

we should be open by the end of the month at least, and we’ll be opening the board up two days before we will anywhere else just for you guys.

so keep your eyes peeled and don’t forget to ask us any questions you might have.

o haaaay. so this is gray, i’ve not really been doing masses this week due to exhaustion thanks to working day shifts on a ward at my local hospital as part of my course at sixth form. however that finishes tomorrow, which i’m kinda sad about (it means i have to stop ~~stalking~~ observing the really fit junior doctors) but not massively because my poor feet are killing me (i now see the point in crocs). this does, however mean that i will be bombarding you with my requests tomorrow night and at the weekend. you can look forward to seeing;

So here’s Judas. I’m just gonna call him Tom for now. Basically, Tom and Ariadne have been tight since they were thieving teenagers. He’s been her best friend (outside of her sister) and one the few trusted people in her life. Not too long ago, Tom and Aria acquired a ship through their usual means. For whatever reason, it was near impossible to get a crew to sign up under a female captain, so the pair devised a plan: for show, Tom would appear to be the captain, and Aria the first mate, whilst in reality Aria was really the one giving the orders. It was smooth sailing until Tom decided to commit mutiny and overthrow her, leaving her broke on some planet. Six months later, Tom is looking for Aria. It could be to make amends or to just see if she’s alive, but he just feels like he needs to see her. Aria’s secretly had feelings for him for some time, but she’s never told anybody. Anywho, the reason he betrayed her is entirely up to you. Maybe he got power hungry, maybe he was bored, maybe he just has self-destructive tendencies. The only requirements I have is that he’s a pirate, mid/late twenties, PB is Tom Hiddleston and he has some type of feelings for Aria. I rather like the idea of him just now starting to feel something, but that’s up to you; he can develop them now or later. These two don’t have to be finals, we can figure that out later. His personality is completely up to you. His member group could even be mutant if you wanted, so long as he’s still a pirate. Savvy?

Admiral Bloom is a no-nonsense man. You have to be when you’re the Admiral of a Navy fleet- especially with the calibre of enemies he faces off against in the name of the Alliance. Outside of the uniform and when duty doesn’t call he can be quite the amiable fellow, and even at his age he doesn’t find it hard to find female company (his sizable pay check probably has something to do with it along with his wit). However, as soon as he puts that uniform on he becomes an immovable force, stern and strict and with little sway- even for his own relatives. When he found out that his brother (now disowned, most likely) had knocked up a prostitute in Tabatha and had a bastard child there… well, he was livid to say the least; especially as the lad was now sixteen. Bloom decided that if the boy’s father wasn’t going to endeavour to give him a better life than Tabatha (of all places!) could, then he would. He arranged for ‘Dionysus Leandros’ or ‘Dion’ for short, to be taken from Tabatha and brought to his stately home in Washington Centre so he could get a look at his nephew. Needless to say he wasn’t very impressed, and immediately arranged for him to be scrubbed clean of all the ‘Tabatha filth’ and dressed up nicely, with a few manners knocked into him for good measure (it didn’t really work). He was set up for training in Quantico Mark but it became painfully apparent that Dion wasn’t bothered. He was put through regardless, and more or less forced into the navy. Bloom has ensured that Dion has a place as a ‘regular’ officer on board the Nexus- though arranged it so that he has to report to a Lieutenant named Raynar Levine Jr, mostly because none of the higher officers would take him. Bloom isn’t a bastard though, he’s offered Raynar a promotion if he manages to whip Dion into shape; hoping it might sway his own bad habits in the mean time (but he didn’t mention that, of course).

In himself, Admiral Bloom is a ‘hardass’ and nobody dares cross him. He’s in charge for a reason and he’s executed his fair share of pirates and renegades. The name of ‘Bloom’ is a well known name throughout the stars, and he thrives on that popularity; though maintains a sense of decorum and humility in the public eye, of course- it wouldn’t do to appear too arrogant. Dedicated to the cause, and he wont take no for an answer. He might be old, but he’s a firm son of a bitch that very few can challenge and get away with it.
